The National Sign Language Interpreter Directory maintains a list of professionals who are available as interpreters and speech to text providers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Most providers are available for short-term contracts and interpreting assignments.

NSLID.Org merely provides and maintains a national list of service providers that are available for hire in order to better serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities by improving the coordination of service professionals on a local, state and national level. This project is funded as part of the DCRE Labs Mission Statement encouraging corporate and social responsibility through community outreach programs.
